MAN EDC17 Engine Control Unit Programming - Autovei Solutions

The License MAN EDC17 feature by Autovei enables reading and writing FLASH & EEPROM of the MAN truck engine control unit EDC17CV42. With Autovei, safe bench operations can be performed without opening the ECU.

Autovei Operation Modes (EDC17):

• DC GPT mode — Read/Write full Flash and EEPROM, automatic checksum, works on bench without opening ECU.
• BSL mode — Flash write only (no read), recovery purposes, EEPROM read/write, no checksum.

In DC GPT mode:

• Read/Write full Flash and EEPROM.
• Automatic checksum.
• Works on bench without opening ECU.

In BSL mode:

• Flash write only (read not possible).
• Used for recovery.
• EEPROM read/write supported.
• No checksum.

Autovei Hardware Requirements:

• VEI V6 or VEI V7 device
• Direct Connect 2U tool with OBD2 power cable
• DC2U-EDC17CV42 GPT cable
• DC2-ISP2 cable
